Three for Three is a monthly podcast targeting business owners and organization leaders. Each episode features discussions on business improvement with a guest, concluding with a three-question quiz. Seeking a brand refresh to broaden its audience, the podcast required a new logo. My design solution emphasizes a text bubble to visually represent the marketing conversations central to the podcast’s content. The wordmark is integrated with a stylized “4” to create a cohesive and memorable visual identity.

Blaze FC, a local soccer travel club, sought a refreshed and professional visual
identity for their team uniforms. While retaining their original name, they desired
a logo that conveyed a more sophisticated and athletic aesthetic. In response,
I designed a phoenix emblem, embracing the thematic concept of the team rising
from adversity to triumph over their opponents.

To address the Humane Society of Summit County’s goal of an educational yet attention-grabbing social media campaign on the health benefits of pets, I developed the “Dear Doctors, We’re Sorry” concept. This campaign employed a creative execution featuring animals in medical coats, accompanied by bold and simple text. The messaging, framed as an apology from pets to doctors, effectively highlighted the positive impact of pet ownership on human health, resulting in a successful and memorable campaign.

This packaging design was inspired by the classic movie and book The Last Unicorn. This is the story I chose to highlight for a maximalist project. As a result, this packaging reveal the story as you start in the lavender forest with the last unicorn, meet the friends that would help her, face the dreaded bull, and free all the unicorns from the sea.
Fun Fact: This project consists of 40 pieces of lazer cut paper.

in Waikiki, Hawaii that features a laser-cut wood base and nautical rope accents.

For this project, students were assigned a typeface to make an 8–12 page booklet
that featured the history, earmarks, creator, and uses of that particular typeface.
This booklet features the typeface, Univers, while being influenced by the Bauhaus
and the Dada art movement.

The University of Akron Theatre hired the internal art agency, Design x Nine, to compose a poster for their performance of the play “A Streetcar Named Desire.” The prompt was to create a grungy, dark composition that reflected the misogynistic, dark undertones of the play. After some collaboration, this is one of the final posters presented to the theatre.

For this project, students were randomly assigned an element of typography. For me this element was accents. As a result, I chose to feature a variety of accents in the background of the compositing, while using white to allow the piece to breathe. Meanwhile, I used accented characters on a diagonal to create movement and emphasis.

For this set of posters, I decided to focus on the firm, NBBJ, who has over 80 years of architectural design experience. These posters aim to integrate the firms sleek designs, while unitizing basic design elements like line and shape.

For the final project in Digital Photography, student had to create their own theme and capture it in a series of photos. In this case, the theme was “The Forgotten” which feature an abandoned theme park at Chippewa Lake and buildings in Akron, Ohio. The idea was to show how abandoned items are taken over with time, slowly forgotten with each generation.
